Ortruds Teppich
This is my second pick up double weave. It is woven with indigo dyed wool.
The borders and some details like the deers are inspired by East Prussian double weaves.
The tree is a tree of life according to my own idea. 
The other patterns are a product of my instinct of play. There are stars, flowers, faces, dogs and waves;
if you want, you may try to find out the deeper sense of it. The dog for example could be the symbol of fidelity.....
